Adding a Conversation Attribute
To add an attribute to a Conversation, follow these steps:
- On the navigation sidebar, select the Conversations section.
- Select a Conversation.
- Click the "Details" icon in the header of the Conversation.
- Click the blue "Add Attribute" button at the bottom of the sidebar.
- Input the title of your attribute.
- The Identifier field will be defaulted to the Attribute title. You can edit if needed for development purposes, otherwise leave as the default.
- Select the Data Type from the dropdown. You can choose from:
- Text: The value for this attribute will be text.
- Number: The value for this attribute will be a number.
- Date: The value for this attribute is an exact date. To enter a value, select the date from a calendar popup.
- True/False: You will be able to choose either True or False for this attribute's value.
- List: This option allows you to have multiple values for this attribute.
- Multiple Choice: Add value options that can be selected from a dropdown. With this Data Type selected, a field will appear where you can input these options.
- In the "Value for this Conversation" field, you can enter the value that you would like to appear for this specific Conversation.
- Click Save and the Attribute will appear on the Details sidebar of every Conversation. The value of the attribute will also be saved for this specific Conversation.
Adding a Conversation Attribute Value
After you add an attribute it will appear on every one of your Conversations in the Details sidebar. You can add an attribute value by following the steps below.
- On the navigation sidebar, select the Conversations section.
- Click on the Conversation that you would like to add the attribute value to.
- Click the "Details" icon in the header of the Conversation.
- Add an attribute value to this Conversation by clicking on the blue "Add" button next to the attribute.
- Enter the value and click Save.
